Crossfire - Collateral Breakout

The Jam

This game was a submission to Mini Jam 114, with the theme being Anime and the limitation "Locked in place". I used cel-shading and toony colours to emulate the look of the optional theme.

The game centres on breaking out of a jail, and one of the core elements to the gameplay has to do with the guards being unmoving. Thus, sightlines can be manipulated and the game can be beaten.

I made this game in even less time than the jam allowed for, so there are fewer levels than I would hope for. If you want more, please let me know down below.

The Game

Escape the jail. Free all objectives. That is the name of the game. But, you are not armed with a trusty paperclip or a baseball bat to take keys from a guard. You have escaped and they are now shooting at you whenever they see you. These bullets drive the gameplay in a novel addition to the typical escape game.
